Aside from a very small, almost unnoticeable dent to the rear of the locket the metalwork is fabulous. The opening mechanism works perfectly. The cabochon amethyst is free from any blemishes, scratches or chips. A superb piece of antique jewellery which has obviously been very well cared for throughout its life.
