This guide gives an overview of terms used to describe the condition of second hand jewellery items.
As New – In perfect condition.
Excellent – Shows little to no sign of wear, with none or very few minor marks or abrasions.
Very Good – Displays a small number of minor abrasions or defects that may be visible to the naked eye.
Good – Shows signs of minor wear or small defects visible to the naked eye, while remaining in good overall condition.
Fair – Displays noticeable signs of general wear or defects, while remaining fully wearable.
We do not remove or conceal any marks in our photographs, as we want customers to have the clearest and most accurate understanding of an item’s condition.
Please bear in mind that product photographs are highly magnified, and this may reveal minor imperfections that would not be visible when worn or seen with the naked eye.
Naturally, older pieces of jewellery may show more signs of wear than newer items, which is often part of their character and charm.
