This Tudor Period Tinned Bronze Signet Ring is a fascinating piece of history, showcasing the era's deep-rooted martial culture. The ring features an octagon face, a distinctive choice that frames a dynamic scene: a knight and a spearman standing guard on either side of a central spear. Cast in bronze and finished with a tin coating, it gleams with a subtle sheen that accentuates the fine details of the figures and their weaponry.

This imagery not only represents the soldierly valour of the time but also symbolizes protection and vigilance. The ring's craftsmanship is a testament to the artistry and symbolism prevalent in Tudor jewellery, making it a captivating artifact for both historians and collectors alike.

A certificate of authenticity will be supplied with this ring.

CONDITION
The Tudor Period Tinned Bronze Signet Ring is in good condition, with its historical integrity and aesthetic largely preserved. The bronze material and tinned finish have maintained their sturdiness and visual appeal over the centuries. However, it's important to note the presence of a small hole on the octagon face of the ring, likely resulting from wear or a specific impact. This imperfection, while notable, does not significantly detract from the overall beauty or the detailed engraving of the knight and spearman. The ring's condition, including this minor damage, has been carefully considered in its pricing, reflecting its value as a collectible and its historical significance. Overall, the ring remains a robust and captivating piece of Tudor period jewellery.
