The gorgeous oval cabochon garnets are beautifully surrounded by 26 mine cut diamonds each, then topped with a further diamond. The garnets are foil backed, which was a popular manufacturing method of the time, whilst the diamonds are open backed, allowing light to flood in to create the perfect glimmer complimenting the deep reds of the garnet. A latch back fitting ensures that they stay safely in your ear. These earrings ooze with charm and character and a re a rare find in such wonderful condition. Very Good – These antique Victorian 18ct gold garnet diamond & earrings are in lovely condition. The metalwork is in superb order with hardly a sign of any wear and a perfect shine. The garnets have some very light abrasions, only noticeable under a 10x loupe. The diamonds are fantastic with no chips or nicks, and an excellent shimmer.
